Music is more important to him than anything else. "There is no Plan B for me", says multi-instrumentalist LEJO. His first love was percussion, at 12 he was playing the tenor saxophone, at 14 he added singing. Now he has tattooed the serial number of his guitar onto his leg. His terse voice and his songs are applauded by producers such as Robert Stephenson (including Mighty Oaks, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Fil Bo Riva) or Zebo Adams (Bilderbuch). A street poet who, with his deeply felt yet groovy songs, moves stylistically between pop and funk. LEJO has arrived to give German-language pop music a long-overdue portion of soul and funk.
